West Boca escapes out of Phipps Park with yet another late victory

Tyler Bauman pitched seven shutout innings to lift the West Boca Snappers (6-3) to a 3-2 win over the Phipps Park Barracudas (1-5) at Forrest Hill H.S.


Seth Douglas led the West Boca Snappers' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He doubled in the fourth innings and singled in the ninth inning.


A bright spot for the Phipps Park Barracudas in the defeat was Tyler Krull, who allowed only zero runs while striking out six.


Matt Rumpf recorded his first win of the year for the West Boca Snappers. He allowed two runs over one inning. Rumpf struck out two, walked two and gave up two hits.

Johnny Spring (0-1) took the loss for the Phipps Park Barracudas. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
